MOVIES I LOVED
Just some movies Ive seen recently that I can wholeheartedly recommend!
1) HIGH TENSION...less said the better, but thrillingly disorienting & nightmarish (French w/titles)
2) HAPPINESS by Todd Solonsz.. Easily one of the most brilliant films in a decade at least
3) ME & YOU & EVERYONE WE KNOW: Dazzling interplay of plots and characters! Amazing! An honest rare "feel good" movie
4) THE DARK HOURS, see #1 above.....almost on that level
5) THE WILD PARROTS OF TELEGRAPH HILL: documentary dazzler! REALLY makes u feel gr8! AND A HUGE SURPRISE ENDING, in a documentary no less.
6) KISS KISSBANG BANG..... gloriously cynical and funny...an IN joke but still rancidly uproarious
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE:
RENT; It literally made me nauseous! Putrid, Pathetic, Humiliatingly awful! Enuf to kill all musicals forever! (If any are left after THE PRODUCERS pile of dingleberry shit! Feel free to watch 30+ year old men whining in song & dance! How do u whine in dance!? Just watch, but grab that Pepcid!
